Today my English teacher made a very good point:

Superman isn't a hero. A hero is someone who is willing to get hurt to save someone, stranger or not. Well, Superman is invincible (save for his small little weakness to a not common rock xD), so he's not a hero; he's just a guy in a cape showing off his ability to not get hurt.
